Personal Assistant is a web application providing citizens with a guide as to what interactions with public services/authorities are needed in particular life situations referred in the project as life events, for example starting a new enterprise or getting married.

Personal Assistant client (PAC) asks the user (interested citizen) a number of questions and based on the answers provided, it generates a workflow (list of tasks or to-do list) for the user to follow. The workflow is tailored to the particular case, i.e. the country where the service is located, the address of the user and the characteristics of the citizen. For example, a local citizen may have to follow a different set of tasks from a foreign citizen in order to start a new enterprise. Each task in the list is accompanied with extensive descriptions, detailed information about required documents and payments. More over PAC provides a list of government services suitable for each task along with detailed contact data.

The selection of life events that the Personal Assistant supports is not set or predefined. On the other hand, the Personal assistant has been designed as a dynamic application capable to support almost all possible life events. Support of new life events can be introduced by using the Annotation services, a separate product of the project described further down.
